Whereas UNICEF's World's Children's Day takes place on November 20 every year, China annually observes International Children's Day on June 1. In the lead-up to this celebration of the country's little ones, we take a look at the daily routines of some primary school students in Beijing.
The capital city's Zhongguancun No.1 Primary School has more than 4,000 students. Children of all grades enjoy a rich and colorful campus life. Like other primary schools, in addition to their regular daily classes, students here can choose their favorite extracurricular courses and clubs to participate in every afternoon.
Each year, the school organizes activities such as science and technology fairs, sports events and art festivals, providing students with different platforms to showcase their individual talents.
